A tardy start

We (Chris and Raeleen) are off to Canada.  A first for Chris. We departed Wednesday with some notable delays. First we had to wrangle this quite impressive black rat snake who was taking way more than his fair share of the eggs. 

We relocated the bugger to the blue ridge parkway. But he was well fed prior to drop off. 

Then we remembered that Wednesday is production day for Sunshine Sammy the local made ice cream cookie sandwiches and we were sitting at the red light outside the factory. Obviously, our hands were tied. Luckily we were not disappointed. 

We finally packed on the miles arriving at the generous accommodations of The Clowe house in West Virginia where Michelle and the pups and kitties gave a warm welcome.
