How is that related to a Catawba paddling trip?
We reached two miles stones. We passed 100 miles and then we completed one quarter of the trip.
Today was spent fighting the sea that is lake Norman and the boat traffic that recreates on it. Dang this is one HUGE lake and we have about 5 miles to go and a portage until we can call it done.
Today we owe a great debt of gratitude to Karen and Gary McDougal who so kindly let a band of tired paddlers shelter at their home. Many, many thanks for a place of respite.
