TSA, shmee.S.A

It was a little tough to leave the comfort of the lake house. Thanks again to the Mcdougal family for the hospitality.
Some people don't need water

Today we conquered lake Norman, the Cowan's ford dam and the McGuire nuclear power plant where they reportedly send out men in bullet proof vests if you venture on to the property.

We were able to achieve all these milestones through the help of Carl Harrison, Joseph's dad. He came up from SC, a 4 hr round trip, with trailer in tow to drive us from the boat landing to the dam over look where there was an easy trail to the river. Hooray to Carl for keeping the dream going.

Had a lovely calm paddle below the dam and have stopped over night on state park property in a lovely secluded cove.

While waiting for Carl I was able to evaluate the quality of a local day care facility I will include a photo of the staff below and you can see what you think of having these folks looking after your children.

Fun at the park

Who thought the feet would be such an issue?

Milage totals: day 11 trip 119
