That's right folks the crew is officially in the land of palm trees and alligators. We made a very rainy entry at approximately 9 AM. Our first really wet paddle. We were flying today, boats empty calm water and air and that new swank paddle.
Today we are featuring crew member Joseph Harrison who hails from SC. We brought him along to be sure we could talk the talk and reasonably "mix in" with the good folks of SC. Interesting facts about Joseph 1. He is paddling a 16 foot canoe. 2. He once hike the the AT all but 100 miles. 3. He once bought a purple flowered skirt as a joke and found that he fancies it and brought it as one of his 5 articles of clothing on the paddle trip. He has added a cute women's hat to the ensemble.
Another shout out to Carl who continues to carry us and our boats around to make out lives easier. I'm nominating him on to the team!
Enjoyed a family dinner with the Harrison's. Our last meal before we hit the woods tomorrow.
Milage totals: trip 153. Day 14 (yep we went in a few circles today)
