Answer: The number of miles we paddled today.
We left the comfort of the fish camp and took advantage of current and improving arm strength to paddle to better part of 10 hours. To be fair is spent the last 12 miles in Joseph's canoe and Chris towed my boat.
We had the near threat of thunderstorms but skirted them by the smallest margin.
We are sleeping atop a dilapidated bridge next to a coal power plant with supersonic military planes over head. We are being entertained with heat lighting on the horizon.
"Collected" 2 snakes today. That makes 4 spottings in all. There are now cypress trees, 15 foot alligators and Spanish moss. I think we are getting closer.
Miles. Day 35. Total 283.
